The BEST place for combo. Amazing, carry out is fast and easy. I drive 30 mins from home to order from here. I can’t find any place like this: Definitely recommend. Can’t beat the price either & great portions!

Grilled fish was excellent, skirt steak was tender and the portion sizes were pretty big. Loved the bread and the complimentary soup, also house wine was decent. Good Portuguese food at good price. Little on the loud side and parking can be a challenge, but if you can get in, it's a good meal.

This restaurant is amazing and friendly. The waiters are professional, attentive and paid attention to our needs. I cannot say enough about the flavors of the foods they cook. Presentation and setting are very appealing. I wanted to stay longer. The sangria was just right, not sweet. Everyone should try this place. It made my outing with my husband and son pleasing and memorable.

Ate here with friends from Wisconsin. Had rack of lamb and my friends had calamari which we all enjoyed. . Food here is always good. And they have takeout too .

First time here...food was amazing...service was even better. Carlos and Alfonzo were the servers...the only servers for the entire restaurant! They were GREAT!! Busy as they were they remained attentive and pleasant! Cannot say enough! Prices were incredible!

I regret not coming sooner, but I am really glad I finally visited. The food is so flavorful, filling and utterly satisfying - my tastebuds were in heaven. I recommend the shrimp penne pasta in vodka sauce and the beef, egg & prosciutto, both are unbelievable! I’m probably gonna visit at least once a week now. Parking lot is tight and space is limited so I recommend walking/parking on the street instead.

This place was always amazing, until recently. On several occasions, the food has been mediocre. On one visit, I had a piece of hairy mold in my rice. Just a few days ago, I ordered a whole chicken and got 3 legs and 1 breast. Unless it was raised near a nuclear power plant, there should no reason a chicken should have 3 legs and 1 breast. They're supposed to be taking the chickens right off the grill and chopping them up and throwing them in the aluminum container. I'm not sure why they're mixing chickens. On top of that, the chicken tasted old and stale, like it had been boiled in a soup or something. Never again. This was the last straw. I posted pics to prove the nuclear chicken I received. If you look closely, you can see the 3 drumsticks.

Disappointed I bought carry out and they messed up my order with overcooked food that tasted disgusting I paid over $100 our family won’t be returning

Recently visited this restaurant. The staff is so friendly, the food is outstanding, and some of the best Sangria you can hope for. Try the shrimp and rice or the Chilean Sea Bass(when available). This is one of my go to places with friends, business associates, as well as family. Parking can be a challenge so if you see a spot on the street, grab it.

Great restaurant! The Sirloin steak was cooked just the way I like it. Service was good and attentive.

This may be an unfair review but we have been going there at least once a week for the past 5 to 6+ years. If they PIC nic was not good I wouldn't go once a week. We bring friends, have parties and family. They treat us GREAT and like family. The food is really good, reasonable and flavorful. The have just about anything you could want, except burgers. We almost always take food with us because of the amount of food. Did I say reasonable prices? Their take out is also awesome. Just make sure that you call in or leave yourself enough time as they are ALWAYS busy. Tell them Ken and Gloria sent you.

Love there Ribs and chicken I can only imagine how the restaurant is. Wheelchair accessible for taking out I haven't see hows inside is for wheelchair accessible only thing is parking is Tight.

First time visit. Stopped in for lunch and had the spicy shrimp with rice and veggies. Meal was delicious, plan to stop by the next time in town.

If I could share more stars I would! What a lovely place, delicious and service was right on the money! We had a 50th birthday dinner. We had reservation for 6pm and we got there alot earlier for cocktails.. at the bar, the bar was full so we got to sit at our reserved table for 12 early even thou it was half the party! Carlos was excellent in taking care of us! Thank you for a memorable night Pic-Nic! Oh and they didn't even mind we bought in our own bday cakes!

Great food, poor bloody Mary's. Great spot for a family gathering. Nice atmosphere, wait staff friendly and accommodating. Did I say great food, the entire party of 8 raved about how tasty their meal was.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had! I ordered pork ribs combo the fries were overcooked and dry the vegetables were overcooked and dry and they were absolutely disgusting. I called to get a refund and I had to go through hurdles to even speak with someone about my horrible experience I don’t even want a refund or come back I just want to warn everyone to not go here

Omg, I been away from my hometown Newark for over 10 years. I came home to visit my parents. They brought me to the best flavorful food in town. I highly recommend this place. The food was unbelievable. I can still taste the flavors. The staff gets 20 stars. They were very professional and friendly. The environment was very home like and comfortable.

Their takeout is plentiful and excellent quality. We got the Cosido for one person and 3 ate comfortably. We also got their roast veal, codfish dishes and others. All great value and lots of good food. Definitely our future takeout place. Added photo of the cosido we got another day. Such fantastic value. Updated with meals in the restaurant. Delicious

Like this place more and more, have been going here on occasion for many years but lately we have enjoyed great service and very good food for reasonable prices. Garlic shrimp may be the best! Sangria is very good not too sweet and not too much ice. BBQ chicken to go is great!

Good place to get Portuguese and some Spanish food. They cook well and have a great assortment of wine. I recommend this place to everyone interested in wines and Portuguese food. 5 stars for great service and they know how to serve the wine.

Great Portuguese restaurant. Has all of the meats and great seafood. Would definitely recommend. Got the meat platter for two. Definitely served 3 or 10 small children.

Can't believe I never came here. Been everyplace in Ironbound but I think PicNic is one of the best. The Portuguese clams are fantastic, good belly meat in the clams and a great sauce. Not overdone. I had the suckling pig and it was fantastic. My son had the sirloin steak and it was done perfect and it was a good cut of meat. Prices are very reasonable when compared to other similar places. Good sangria!!!

Awesome food. The owners are very friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic.
